Today we announced our partnership with FAST.hit, an Australian service-centric web hosting provider offering a full set of web hosting products to government, small businesses and enterprises since 2003. Their partnership with Jelastic marks the company’s official entry into the Australian cloud computing market!
Below is an excerpt of the press release
Frost and Sullivan recently reported that Australia’s demand for cloud services is elevated by the increased use of data intensive applications, which necessitates the use of back-end cloud applications needed to store and analyse this data. Cost saving continues to be a key push factor for cloud with organisations reporting an average IT cost savings of 12% through the use of cloud computing services. In 2013, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), which together make up the Australian cloud computing market, generated revenues of $1.23 billion.
“We’re excited to kick-off our partnership with FAST.hit and thrilled to finally penetrate the Australian market, ” said Ruslan Synytsky, Jelastic CEO and Co-founder. “Customer demand for scalable, easy-to-deploy cloud solutions is on the rise, and we are seeing tremendous traction in Australia, where FAST.hit already has an impressive customer base and loyal developer following. Our alliance with FAST.hit further validates Jelastic’s ongoing commitment to deliver a superior Container-Based PaaS and IaaS solution in dynamic, high-growth technology regions, such as Australia, and Asia-Pacific.”
“We’ve considered a number of management tools for our cloud hosting product line. Jelastic is a clear winner for us and for our customers,” said Chris Bauer, FAST.hit’s Managing Director.
Jelastic cloud server technology is great because it allows customers to manage complex application environments including the full web and data tier. Unlike maintaining traditional virtual servers, customers don’t need the server administration skills and time investment to maintain a secure cloud.
“Since the term cloud computing was first used, it became surrounded by clouds of mystery and uncertainty. Jelastic casts those clouds away, exposing the cloud computing, and in our case cloud server hosting, in the most transparent and easy-to-manage way. With Jelastic, FAST.hit is able to bring cloud servers to mainstream users here in Australia,” said Bauer.
