Jelastic and Virtuozzo DevOpsJelastic announced a strategic partnership with Virtuozzo to deliver a downloadable version of the DevOps platform for ISVs and mid-size enterprises to automate and accelerate internal development processes.

“The partnership with Virtuozzo expands our channel and adds value that customers can ultimately benefit from,” said Ruslan Synytsky, chief executive officer, Jelastic. “The outcome of this collaboration is the improved private cloud offering for DevOps teams that can be easily self-installed by engineers making the product more accessible for customers.”

The joint offering can be downloaded and easily installed by customers on top of their own public, private, bare-metal, or virtualized infrastructure. The installation of Virtuozzo DevOps platform for the first server is provided free of charge with no limitations in time and full set of features applicable for small deployments. So the developers and startups have an opportunity to easily get started and improve the processes of application development with no investments until the business growth. Larger deployments with more than one server can operate at multi-server or multi-cloud scale and require paid licensing.

“Configuring cloud infrastructures is fun the first time you do it. But it doesn’t take too long before it becomes a tedious time sink. And, if you have the misfortune of being a software developer that has to fight it out with an IT organization, who usually wants consistency, control and visibility, you find that you’re always fighting with them. Jelastic solves all of that. Easy configuration tools for developers, management tools for IT. Peace and productivity. I love it. said James Gosling, Father of Java.

Developers, ISVs, mid-size and big enterprises with in-house development and production infrastructure get the following core benefits of the newly offered solution:

  • Fast Time to Value

Focus on delivering value and less time spent on managing the development, test and production environments. Ability to start small and grow as needed using own hardware or public cloud resources.

  • Efficient Production Platform

Scaling from one server to multi-datacenter and multi-cloud deployment. Configuring, deploying and updating full stack of services required by an application in minutes via simple and intuitive UI.

  • Flexibility and Cost Optimization

Migrating an application between any public and private clouds in just a few mouse clicks. Possibility to chose the cloud that works best today and not to feel locked in tomorrow.

“Jelastic solution helped us to build own private cloud and successfully migrate all applications for geophysical monitoring. As result, it brings our organization to a new level of automation and flexibility. Now researchers and analysts can process geophysical events and deliver results much faster, it unlocks more real-time data analysis options for geoscience research,” Ivan Tolchonov, Head of the Main Center of Special Monitoring, State Space Agency of Ukraine.
